Khiri Campus offers a variety of accommodation options to suit your program and location. Here’s what you can expect:
Accommodation Types:
- Hotels (Urban Areas): In larger cities, you’ll typically stay in comfortable hotels with varying star ratings. These hotels provide a familiar level of comfort and amenities.
- Homestays and Guesthouses (Rural Areas): When venturing into remote and rural areas, you’ll experience local hospitality through community-owned homestays and guesthouses. These accommodations offer a unique cultural immersion opportunity.
Standards Across All Accommodations:
- Cleanliness and Safety: We prioritize cleanliness and safety. All accommodations are well-maintained with daily cleaning of bedrooms, bathrooms, and common areas.
- Child Safeguarding: All our accommodations adhere to Khiri Campus’s strict child safeguarding policies, ensuring guest safety and privacy at all times.
- Fire Safety: Fire extinguishers and fire safety plans are readily available in all our accommodations.
- Climate Control: Each room provides air conditioning or electric fans for your comfort.
- Staff Qualifications: Accommodation staff and homestay owners undergo background checks and possess the necessary licenses for legal operation.
- Minibar Management: In rooms occupied by guests under the legal drinking age, alcohol will be removed from minibars.
Homestays: A Unique Experience
Our homestays provide a clean and culturally immersive living experience, though they are basic in terms of amenities. Here’s what to expect:
- Sleeping Arrangements: Students typically sleep on comfortable mattresses on the floor in dormitory-style rooms. Guest sleeping quarters are always separate from the host family’s living areas. Gender-segregated dorms are provided, with private areas for teachers/faculty/guides within the same property.
- Bedding: Each guest receives a single bed (which may be a mattress on the floor), a mosquito net, pillow, and sheets. Blankets are available upon request.
- Bathroom Facilities: Shower and toilet facilities are basic and may include squatting toilets and cold bucket showers. However, they are clean and well-maintained.
